7-Jikanme no Note Chapter 15 + Announcements

Rumors of this series' death have been greatly exaggerated. I'm still working on this and I have some more announcements.

Futari no Jikan's last bonus chapter just came out, and I promised to do that one, but it ends up being the kind of chapter that's more meaningful if you've read the whole series, so... There's only one logical solution, we're committed to picking up Futari no Jikan, starting from chapter 6. So what does that mean for other series? As you can see, 7-Jikanme will be going concurrently, but GJ-Bu will have to take a back seat for a while. GJ-Bu has always been the "backup series" for when there's nothing else to do, and I think that's the least painful one for readers to have to deal with being inconsistent. It'll return if I ever finish either Futari no Jikan or 7-Jikanme and have nothing else going on.

Oops, forgot to make a release post. Also, you’ll notice that this is one of the few chapters designated an extra chapter with “.5” in the title. I’ve also been aware of an ongoing problem with the chapter numbering for this series being off for a while now, due to a 100th chapter celebration in the magazine where it’s published. I suspect these extra chapters that are in the middle of the volume are the culprits. It doesn’t help that SoL manga don’t like to include tables of contents or chapter titles. There’s no clear indication that this wasn’t published in magazines, but the fact that it’s shorter and just randomly interrupts the storyline makes the guessing easier. So here’s what we’ll do: I’m going to keep the old chapter numbers and continue from where we’re at to not confuse readers, but I’ll be marking these extra chapters with the “.5” title to be accurate. Understand that the chapter numbers are off from the official ones, though it doesn’t really matter.

Ok, so this is the end of volume 8, but another volume has just been released. Considering how Mikakunin has almost always been up to date for years, I'm not one to break tradition. As such, everything else is on hold until we get this volume done (but some other chapters that were already in progress may come out before that). That shouldn't take all that long, it's usually about 12 chapters, and this series releases volumes about once every 1 and a half years. Stay tuned.

[New Joint Project] Mikakunin de Shinkoukei Chapter 102 (and Other Assorted Announcements)

Ok, we have a lot of announcements to get out of the way. First of all, we're picking up Mikakunin de Shinkoukei form where Tribuo Scans left off (talked to them and got permission, feel free to verify by asking them on MangaDex yourselves). Since this one is slightly beyond my own redrawing capabilities, I've managed to convince some people I know in Orchesc/a/ns to join me on this adventure. In addition, picking up this series means I can spend less resources and time on other series like Sansha Sanyou, so I've just decided to drop that one. BUT NEVER FEAR, for like a game of scanlation musical chairs, Kirara Scantasia is going to pick up the reins on Sansha Sanyou as soon as we've released what chapters we have pre prepared (which I'll do tomorrow, as it's quite late). About GJ-Bu Volume 3 Chapter 1

Hey there, as you're all aware of, we've recently finished translating volume 2 of GJ-Bu. The next one would be volume 3 chapter 1, but there already is a one off translation available for that chapter on Baka-Tsuki, by Shadowys. As it's a chapter that was covered by the anime I'm not going to worry about re-translating it, he did a fine job. I've linked it as the next chapter in the volume 2 extras, and there's also going to be a link to the chapter after that on this blog when we finish that.
